We speak little Spanish, so we often start with an English greeting. The waiter immediately signaled us to wait a moment, and got another waiter who spoke pretty much perfect English. We do not expect this when in Costa Rica, but it's a pleasure when we don't have to work very hard to make orders.
We ordered steamed chicken dumplings as a appetizer, which were good.
We ordered 2 rolls and some sashimi for dinner. The rolls tasted great and were HUGE! That's nice because they do cost around $16/each. We were going to order 3 and luckily settled on only 2. The size actually posed a problem for my girlfriend as she couldn't fit each piece in her mouth, so she wound up taking bites which caused each piece to fall apart. Oh well, I thoroughly enjoyed it and besides that so did she.
We'd come back here again.
