We landed at Papeete airport late so stayed in the motel above for a short sleep. Called Karin and booked there and then. Eurocar got us on the road in ten minutes and we arrived within half an hour. We were warmly welcomed and had the beachfront villa. Absolutely divine spot looking out to the reef which lulled us to sleep and took us back to childhood days having grown up on the beaches of Kenya... We had a luxurious lunch on arrival and met a delightful
friend of the family who lives on the Island and eats regularly here as their chef is talented, seared tuna fricassée in a lobster bisque got my tastebuds going.
Having been sailing the Pacific for a few weeks it was great to find the laundry available free of charge and the Free WIFI was a godsend to catch up with family at home.
Steve and Henrietta looked after us extremely well and gave us a lovely send off gift of a string of shells each, which appears to be a tradition in Tahiti.

We drove around the island on the Sunday and have to congratulate the Brotherson family for selecting and creating the Best location on the Island. Tahiti is the safest place ever, sensible drivers too with the speed limit at 50 kmph mostly. It is amazing to find a little bit of France in the middle of the South Pacific, you'll recognise the supermarket chains and you can at least get by with your French.
A great little family business with extremely friendly helpful staff. Well done all of you.
We shall return.

The Hiti Moana is a fair way out of Papeete so a car rented at the airport is a good idea. One can drive all the way around the island in a day easily
The accommodation is of a fairly high standard, simple but clean and efficient with a good kitchen. 100 meters up the road is the local supermarket. Restaurants and food in general is expensive in Tahiti. Cooking for oneself and the family is very cost effective. Our unit consisted of 1 bed room, a bathroom and lounge kitchen area containing two beds for the kids Table and chairs outside on the verandah with a pond full of turtles completes the picture. There is a very nice pool but our kids enjoyed jumping off the wharf into the lagoon more, or paddling around on the kayaks that are free to use. The view over the ocean at sunset was also very pleasant. Over all a great place to stay with the family

Stayed at Hiti Moana with a bunch of family and friends this summer and we had a blast! We wandered from bungalow to bungalow (ours was so cozy!), waded in the well-maintained outdoor pool, and thoroughly enjoyed the dock... in the mornings we would walk out onto the dock to marvel at the tropical fish right below us, during the day we would jump into the ocean, float and sunbathe, and at night we would sit on the edge of the dock and stargaze. Not only was the villa peaceful and home-y, but the Brothersons were wonderful hosts - always greeting us with smiles and offering suggestions for fun local activities. And I can't forget about the restaurant... the best, freshest fish I've ever had! Definitely want to go back!

We traveled with a group to Tahiti and rented all of the bungalows Steve had to offer. It was perfect for all of us! It was far enough away from town to be peaceful, but close enough to go into town and tour the island. The Brotherson family are wonderful people! This is truly a special place. It is our second time to Hiti Moana and it will not be our last!

Hiti Moana Villa is so beautiful and has so much space. The owner, Steve, and his parents are such wonderful people and really make you feel right at home. Papara is a little far from Papeete and Faa'a, but it is worth the drive to get that extra bit of privacy and tranquility. You will not regret staying here, they are the the sweetest people and one of the nicest Villas there. As a final note, the food at the restaurant is top quality for the price.
