Um. It's a museum full of hammers. There's no movie theater in Haines, so... Oddly, the hammers are screwed (not nailed) to the walls.

Got off our cruise ship and came here. Amazing place !! I had no idea there are so many different types of hammers and from all over the world. There is a great deal to see all 3 museums for $20. Well worth it. Great history in this town.

Had more fun than I expected at this little museum for the hammer. I liked the huge array of antique and special purpose hammers. Anyone that loves tools will appreciate the visit. Very friendly staff. $5 well spent.

Probably a 30 minute visit would be enough to see the displays.

This was a quirky little place with a lot of history jam-packed into a little space. We were disappointed to find a large group of cruise ship people but with them came their tour guide so although the space was very crowded, we got to hear some facts that we wouldn't have heard otherwise.

If you are at all into tools and making things then Hammer Museum is a must see in Haines. Lots of great and unusual tools that are solutions to very practical and everyday problems in wood and metal working -as well as a few jokes !
