I had made a reservation for one of the Homer Seaside Cottages on hotels.com weeks in advance of a June stay. Less than three weeks before I was set to arrive, I received a call from a woman who said she was the proprietor and that the cabin I had reserved was already rented. She went on some long rant about how it was Expedia's fault and told me that she had a different property available for more money if I was interested. That is poor customer service.
