We wanted to stay in Homer, but not near the spit and all the tourists. Hoedel House (the bigger one) sits high on the hill overlooking the bay. It has spectacular views and an amazing, well manicured yard. The flowers were just gorgeous! Nancy has a real gift at decorating with period pieces and the house was immaculate. It was quiet and serene and away from the hustle/bustle of Homer. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had a very large bedroom.
Nancy lives in the basement under the home with a separate entrance, so she is very accessible if you need to visit with her. She is quite the cook and provided us with a wonderful berry coffeecake for the next morning. There was a basket of fruit and other assorted snacks if we wanted them, as well as juice and coffee. Her hospitality was top notch and we would not hesitate to stay here again.More
