Great Location & Views -- We looked out on arrival and saw two eagles perched at the top of trees slightly below our room. We had a spectacular view of most of Ketchikan harbor: the float planes that flew to Misty Fjords and the bears fishing in the salmon streams and rivers, a couple of pleasant restaurants, Bar Harbor, fishing boats, etc. We did not have a car while there, so we walked to downtown every day. It’s a good stroll, perhaps three quarters of a mile.
Great Room -- Enclosed Balcony shared with next room, as well as a large common sitting room.
Friendly owners -- Cherry and Tom were very helpful. Breakfast was provided in the fridge in the room as well as a microwave and coffee maker. Cherry asked us for our preferences in cereal, juice, fruit, etc. and , provided more than ample amounts of quality fruit, cereal, juice, coffee, yoghurt, and treats,
You need to climb a couple of flights of stairs, so the location is not appropriate for someone who has trouble climbing stairs, but Ketchikan like many South-East Alaskan towns is very vertical when traveling inland, so you often need to climb stairs in this town.
