This is the second time we have stayed at the Ayanna group of villas in Canggu. The last time was at Villa Mimpi Indah. For a three bedroom Villa it is exceptionally good value, BUT you have to moderate your expectations to match. We found that Villa Kebun was a little run down compared to Mimpi Indah, but it is also cheaper. The villas are also a long walk to pretty much anything but if you hire a motorbike (the villa staff can arrange this) you can easily get around. The staff are very helpful and make good breakfasts. We love the large gardens which are fantastic for children to play in. We were disappointed that the bigger, communal pool was not operational at the time we were staying, but the smaller, private pool is great. We arranged a pool fence prior to arrival as we have two small children (2 & 3 years old). The fence was not very safe (the first thing our two year old did was climb over it) and there were gaps that they could easily get through. We had to arrange and pay for a new fence to replace it shortly after arrival. There was also no tea or coffee provided, but I think this was just an oversight. The chilled atmosphere of Canggu matches this villa very well. It's not over the top but that's not what Canggu is about for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.
