A friend and I stayed at Natulus last year at the beginning of September and because it was such a great discovery, we returned there this year. The owners are Yalcin and his wife Birsen who make you feel welcome and at "home from home" from day one. Yalcin speaks good English and is only too happy to help if you need to ask anything. The place is 10 minutes walk from the centre of Dalyan, has a lovely garden and swimming pool with seperate jacuzzi and the price per night includes Turkish breakfast - eggs, cheese, olives, tomatoes, bread and coffee or tea. There is also access to the internet.
The beautiful unspoilt Turtle beach is not far away. Either take a dolmus through the pine-clad hills to one end of the beach or catch the river taxi which winds its way downriver to the other side of the beach. Also recommended is a visit to the ruins of ancient Caunos past the famous Lycian rock tombs, and a wallow in the mud baths of Sultaniye.
Dalyan has more than its fair share of restaurants and friendly locals. We would definitely recommend it, and also as a base from which to explore that part of the Turquoise coast, especially if you dont want to be in amongst too much hustle and bustle.
