In the lobby of this hotel you find the office of Diaa Shawki he works as a tourguide not for the hotel. His knowledge is amazing! Go for a desert tour with lovely food, arabic coffee and tea and at night the perfect sky full of stars and a lot of stories and information about them from Diaa. He also does other tours so walk by in the lobby next to Tiffanys bar!
About the hotel, we were not really happy. There is a lot of food, but mostly over cooked. From the salads we got sick. The staff does a lot, but only if you pay them. Special drinks, good cocktails, a bed at the beach or normal glasses only if you give tips. When you don't you get the cheap alcohol, no clean plastic cups etc. Also when you walk alone as a girl the staff will come to you flirting and stuf.
But we came to snorkel and we did and that is amazing here at the bay! Do we come back? We would love to return to Marsa Alam, but it will be a different resort.
Have to say that thanks to Diaa we have amazing pictures and memories taken home. So if you go here please visit him I promise you wont regret!

We stayed here for 2 weeks in April on an all inc basis. We stayed in block 11 on the ground floor which is very convenient for the beach and beach bar.
The rooms are a bit dated and bathrooms could do with an overhaul /clean as shower cubicle was not the best. The rooms are not sound proof so in busier times you may want ear plugs especially if you are on the ground floor as you can hear people scraping furniture across the floor etc.
The staff are very good and most attentive ,remembering what we drank etc ,thanks to

Michael and Mohammed who deserve a mention at the beach bar .
Our room was cleaned everyday and clean sheets etc by a hard working Salem, thankyou.
Fridge drinks are chargeable be aware of this. Wi Fi is fairly expensive but very good ,no problems there.
The food is plentiful ,sometimes the scrambled eggs etc were a bit cold so we went for omelettes ,which were cooked for us and very nice .
Some of the Desserts are lovely ,all credit to the chefs .My husband loved the creme caramel especially.
Afternoon snacks were mostly pizza or similar ,not to our taste but seemed popular.
The reef is amazing and has an abundance of fish ,we saw blue spotted rays ,lion fish ,an Octopus , large crocodile fish just to name a few.
The Reef is protected and entrance is only allowed in the channel between the ropes but it's suprising how many people stomped across it quite unawares until they blew a whistle to draw attention to this fact .
No coral or shells to be removed and if conservation is not incentive enough for you ,we were searched 3 times at the airport and bags scanned too.
The grounds are very well maintained and lovely fragrant flowers are everywhere.
I would stay here again and enjoyed the Quad bike trip into the dessert .

Room Tip: Block 11 ground floor for beach /bar or top floor for quiet .

We spent two weeks here and had a room in block eleven, near the beach, bar , Dive center and a short walk to the restaurant. I would especially like to thank Hussain and Ashraf who looked after us on the beach and supplied the towels, our sunbed was always ready for us.
Michael and Mohammed in the beach bar, who remembered every time what we drank
Mohammed the Breakfast chef, who made great omelettes every day.
Salem, our room boy who really looked after us for the two weeks
Mustapher at the swim up pool bar, and lastly Mactoom who took us out on the four hour quad bike trip across the desert, very informative and enjoyable, thank you all for a great two week holiday.
The only advise I would give is if you stay in block 11, have an upstairs room, we were woken up early in the morning twice, by people leaving and wheeling their cases across the floor.
Snorkeling on the house reef was great, it was also nice to see that the reef was roped off, so that people didn't walk across the reef and damage it
