A restaurant filled with families enjoying an evening meal tends to be a good sign, especially when there are so many restaurants to choose from. The clientele appeared to be mostly local and, that too, is a promising sign. The food was excellent, especially the machaca, and the portions were probably larger than was good for us, but we “soldiered on”. The service was prompt and the staff very friendly. I have no hesitation recommending this restaurant.

Cold corona in a frosted mug, delicious green chili cheese crisp and flavorful green corn tamale!, What a great way to end a day of sightseeing.

Mexican food at its worsed. This restraint was very dirty and old looking. They haven't spent any money to keep this place up.

This place was pretty crowded on a recent Sunday afternoon, but that is likely because nothing else is the run down town is open. The chips are clearly from a bag and the salsa is served in a bottle. It had a bit of heat, but not much. Now onto those beef enchiladas - at first we thought there is no beef, but on closer inspection it seems like it is a meat sauce filling and the same sauce put on top. The meat was basically non-existent, just small flecks of beef. So, "where is the Beef" slogan applies to this place.
Otherwise, the Chili Relleno was good and so was the rice and you must try a homemade tortilla if not included in your order. Let's also hope they clean those food delivery carts alot because all three levels of the cart are filled with food. It almost feels like it was chow time at the Arizona prison up the road. Probably can do better, but only if other places are open and Sunday is not a happening day in Globe.

We met a local resident in our travels Saturday and asked about a lunch place. Mexican? Yes. La Casita was the answer without reservation. Food was good. Green Chilling was excellent. Tacos were good. Very local.
