Us Golden Girls spent the night in the Grand Hotel. Our room as spacious, clean, and close to the shopping and eating places. We were able to walk all over Jerome from the hotel. The front desk was kind and helpful. The view was wondeful and were able to open the windows to get fresh air in the room.

Room Tip: Male sure you aks for a room on the view side.

We had room 34. It has the biggest balcony, but they all the balcony rooms are large. The views are breath taking. This is not the Ritz, but clean and comfortable. The restaurant is top shelf yet some what pricey. We dine out frequently and felt worth the money. Duck and sea bass our favorite.

Room Tip: 34 or any balcony room.

Based on reviews here, we got a balcony room and the ghost tour. The first was great -- panoramic views of the Verde Valley and Sedona red rocks. The second was a bust. I could even call it a con. We bailed out after 60 minutes of a 90-minute tour gave us a murder mystery and a suicide but no ghost stories. They said the building is haunted but gave no accounts of ghost sightings. Instead they gave everyone ghost detector devices and encouraged us to look for paranormal activities and take photos with our cameras. Boring, especially at $20 a head.

Building was built in 1926 as a hospital and looks like it still has original equipment. The balcony saved the accommodation from a failing grade, but still overpriced at $180 a night.

Everything closes at 9 pm, including the hotel restaurant/bar. The Haunted Hamburger restaurant down the hill is a better deal at one third the prices.

Room Tip: Get a balcony room on third floor.

Had a great 3 night stay (3-10) at this (Ghost) Jerome Grand Hotel. We got into room 27 which was the Nurse Station. The king bed was very comfortable. We did not see any ghosts but I did feel a sense late night while I was going to sleep that something was near the bed by the door. We took the Ghost tour and it was very informative as you get to see parts of the hotel that are not open for view to all the guests except for the Ghost of course. Very scary ghost stories included on the tour. Do read the guest book at the front desk about the things guests encountered in the hotel. The Asylum restaurant & bar were great. Eat there twice! We will be back........

Room Tip: Ask for the death rooms. They are to get!

Good adventure to get to Jerome and enjoy the town. The hotel was unique; no cookie cutter Holiday Inn. Enjoyed the bar and the view. A little pricey......

What a cool place to stay! The bed could have been better, but the old fashion charm couldn't be beat! Loved the old elevator and phones! And the antiques were great. Disappointed we didn't see any ghosts!

Six of us stayed at the Jerome Grand Hotel this past weekend. The hotel has been amazingly restored and the hallways are filled with old pictures, old hospital stuff like wheelchairs, operating equipment, and period furniture. The front desk guy was very friendly, checked us in early afternoon before we caught the Verde Canyon Railroad trip. The rooms are small, but adequate and the room rate is very reasonable. The bathroom in our room was updated. Nice fluffy towels and crisp linens on the bed. Speaking of the bed, ugh.....way too soft, could not sleep and woke with a back ache. The restaurant was small and cozy, varied menu but a bit pricey!! Good food, nice wine list, friendly bartender and host. The views from the hotel and the restaurant patio are awesome. Definitely lots of photo ops from this height. We had been to Jerome about 20 years ago and the town has definitely grown since then. A lot more of the buildings have been restored and more hotel and cafe options than before, which is good news for the tourist industry. Personally, I would not stay here again because of the bed, but I would recommend it to others and it is a good base location for day trips in the area. So come enjoy our beautiful state of Arizona!

Room Tip: Rooms on the fourth floor face the back of the hotel, so you have a view of the mountain directly be...
