A place I would definitely recommend to see an alternative side of Joburg to the usual Sandton hotels. Great views of the city from the suites, the suites are lovely and the service was top class. Sunday times under the door was a nice touch. A stone's throw away from the Orbit, a great jazz venue, and Braamfontein on a weekend night is pumping!

Dear StevenH. It was really good to read your Review so thank you taking the time to write it. We are as passionate about the Braamfontein area as are you, and wish more visitors to Johannesburg would come down to "Braamies" and experience the true Jozi vibe. Warm welcome.

Took payment before I saw room.
Mistake!

This fella was in my room. He may have had a family to take care of, but he might have been the little one of the very very big one. Either way, I did the in-Buddhist thing.

I hope next 48 hours are as interesting. And I can breathe better soon.

Dear SteveF. Many thanks for taking the time to send through your Review. We have also been through your Hot or Not Card which you completed on check-out. These are certainly not comments that would have you leaving our property with a feeling a satisfaction.The rooms were all sprayed by a professional Pest Control company at the beginning of winter, however now that the warm weather has arrived sooner than expected we have already re-scheduled the summer spray to be brought forward. Sincere aplologies for this unwelcome visitor. The hotel is presently going through a refurbishment programme and as such all bathrooms and plumbing is being re-done. We have already actioned that the pipes in your room be thoroughly cleaned.We realise that apoplogies after the event do little to exceed GUEST expectations, but your constructive comments have helped in avoiding a repeat of these situations. I was at the hotel last week and I am back again today. So this review is based on my experience last week, and a few minutes ago as I wait to be checked in at 2:30pm.

I love the rooms here and the views if you are on the top floors! It is also centrally located with a walkable distance to nice hang out places. I appreciate the customer service of the hotel staff who even gave me a late check out last time. The restaurant staff were excellent! Very prompt with their service and friendly. Plus their buffet gives one a wider choice.

The downside is that it often gets very crowded, it's a hotel of choice for many companies hosting meetings and corporate events. As such it is often hard to get some perks like early check in, upgrades (as a Prokard member) and so on.so here I am it, almost 2pm and my room is not ready because it "is a very busy place", in the words of one staff from front desk.

The business facilities, the staff, the food and the professionalism here are simply outstanding.

We needed a lot of specialised equipment and set up for our conference. The team attended to everything, promptly and efficiently!

I would keep on going back time after time!

The hotel is fine... definitely a few technical problems as they refurbish 2 of the lifts and struggled to get projectors to work for our meeting...But... and this is a big but...the staff were, without exception, friendly and intent on giving us the best service possible. This goes from the conference center manager Neil to the cleaning staff, check in staff and restaurant staff. They were brilliant and made our stay really enjoyable. We ran a two day conference here and we would definitely come back here again. Very good price and four star customer care.

Your comments will be passed to all the staff in the hotel for them to see how their good service does not go unnoticed. The first new lift should be commissioned next week and then we will begin the replacement of the second lift. It is going to take a while to get all 4 lifts completed but we know if will make a huge difference to our GUESTS. We hope to see you back in our hotel in the future.
