We stayed at Kichaka for an amazing unforgettable 4 days 3 nights experience. Staff continuously going out of their way to ensure a great experience for all. The entire experience was extraordinary! The game drives were full of excitement and stories, seeing various animals each trip. a Warm, comfortable lodge waited after the game drives and delicious food !

We recently enjoyed a three night stay ( 1st-3rd March 2012 ) and cannot recommend it enough.
The welcome was fantastic and it just got better. The accommodation is first rate and the quality /cleanliness could not be faulted.
The staff could not have been more helpful or attentive.
We were blessed to have Adriaan ( Baby Ranger ) as our safari gude who was incredible, his knowledge and enthusiasm made every safari drive so rewarding.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent but try and get a front line room near to the main reception. Some rooms are a little further away along wooden walkways.

After one night in Port Elizabeth to recuperate from a 24 hr journey we spent 3 days/2nights at Kichaka. From start to finish everything laid on and nothing too much trouble. Fabulous private cabin with plunge infinity pool, loungers, and all the little touches you would get with a 5* hotel. Very relaxing dining area with attentive staff and a relaxing secluded area for a great massage from a delightful girl. Very enjoyable game drives (with sundowners in the evening) in good sturdy jeeps for just 4 passengers which means great viewing. All told a fantastic experience.

My wife and I stayed at Kishaka for three nights in February 2012 and thought it was superb.

Everybody else seems to stay at Shamwari so we did wonder whether we were taking a risk but we could not have been more pleased with our choice.

Our accommodation was in our own private and secluded very large room with a separate seating area large bathroom and private verandah overlooking the water hole where Harry the Hippo got up to some mischief on a frequent basis ! The standard of the accommodation was excellent.

The public areas were very spacious with a large lounge and separate dining area inside and an equally large open air deck where we had our breakfast and lunch

All of the meals were very good

All of the staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble

As for the game drives there are two each day for three hours each at 5.30 am and 4.30 pm though we did a later night drive one evening which was brilliant. Our rangers Jeff and Stem were terrific and during our stay we saw Lions. Elephants, Cheetah, Rhinos, Hippos, Impala, Wilderbeest, Zebra, etc etc and even a porcupine one night !

What we particularly liked about Kishaka was that it was very relaxed and informal and uncommercialised so the place never felt remotely busy and at no time did we feel we were in any way being herded like some of the animals !

I cannot recommend this place highly enough - if you are remotely thinking of staying here then you should definitely do it.
