I have always wanted to stay at this hotel as I only heard good things. I must say that I was not disappointed.
We spent two nights at the Vineyard Hotel and Spa and I wish we could stay longer! This hotel has an immense history and it is a combination of old and new from historic buildings and décor to modern touches and amenities. The service from check in to check out and everything in between was friendly and professional, a job well done!
We stayed in one of the Courtyard Facing Rooms, although these are the entry level rooms we still had ample space and all the amenities one would expect from a 4 star deluxe hotel or even 5 star hotel. Our room had a bath and shower in the bathroom and amenities like a mini bar, Nespresso machine and more. Although we did not have the mountain views we still looked out onto a beautiful courtyard with stunning gardens. Breakfast at the hotel was just as good and the continental selection is large and the A La Carte selection was just right.
We also explored the gardens of the hotel and I was truly impressed, the gardens are big enough to find a secluded corner and just relax while reading a book. You can even book a guide tour of the gardens should you wish to do so. The views onto the side of Table Mountain was also amazing and it truly did not feel as if we were even close to the busy city center.
I can recommend the Vineyard Hotel and Spa to the sophisticated traveler who is looking for that something different to your standard city hotel.
