Picked this lovely local neighborhood Italian style resturant randomly and was glad with my choice. Lovely pizza & pasta. Great service. I’d like to call back in the evening as the full menu looks fab.

We headed to Lupa for lunch and was pleasantly surprise by the lunch menu on offer for only R 75 each. I ordered the market pizza (included on the lunch menu and served with any two toppings of your choice - mozarella on pizza already included) I therefore added chicken and pineapple and I was really surprised to see that the pizza was the normal size and topped by a decent helping of chicken and pineapple.
Other patrons in our party really enjoyed the woodsmoked fish and the grilled calamari.
Staff were attentive and plesant.
Overall very nice lunch indeed.

This restaurant is part of a lively eating scene in Umhlanga, Durban. The food was excellent--worthy of a repeat visit--and the relaxed atmosphere and outstanding service make it a great restaurant.

Lupa in Durban north is our go to place and it never ceases to impress! From the lemon cello, the breadsticks to the king clip the standards are high and we have not had a bad meal there. Worth a visit. I think the trick is well trained and professional staff!

we ordered the Chicken Parmasan from the lunch menu

and expected to get the same dish as we have been used to in the Umhlanga Rocks an Hilcrest branch.

what we received was a baby size dish with a tiny piece of chicken.

we have had the same dish in 2 other branches and those were 5 times bigger than the one in this branch.

when we complained, the manager came and asked what it was we were unhappy about.

we told her the size of the dish was unacceptable and in no way even close to other branch.

she said nothing and left.

we will not be going back there and would suggest that you check before ordering as you might get very disappointed
The food was avarage minus compared with a very tasty chicken at the Hillcrest and Umhlanaga branch
