We`ve been recommended in CapeTown, that when we go to Wilderness, we should get to Serendipity. ANd it was just amazing. The restaurant is big - but all rooms are not so big, so there`s private cozy atmosphere. Amazing chief course - everything was good.
I would say it``s perfect for romantic dinner or maybe good quiet time. I guess it can also fit pretty much the big celebrations - but for me the special romance is to keep it quiet.
The host is just aaaaawesome! Telling about dishes he makes such a performance!

All in all i will recommend you to go there for dinner even if you are in George/Knysna - it`s worthy!

We based ourselves in this charming guesthouse for 2 nights. It is situated on the edge of the lagoon, with charming views from the huge balcony of the 2nd floor rooms. The rooms are quaint and comfortable with every facility you could possibly imagine. But the piece de resistance was the meal in the restaurant. Fine dining at its finest. And meeting Rudolph the Hunter was a real treat! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a base in that area.

We had an exceptional dinner in this restaurant with its award winning chef, who runs the restaurant together with her husband. Dinner starts with an interesting choice of aperitifs on the patio or in the lounge, where the owner describes the menu, which contains many local ingredients not always known to foreign visitors. My (British) husband loved the descriptions. Our food was superb and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the springbok tartare starter and the selection of lemony desserts. The service was attentive and personal, but not intrusive. For our taste, worth every cent.

We had the absolute pleasure to visit Serendipity restaurant on 17 September 2017 for dinner, as we celebrated a very special birthday for my wife. Our dinner was stupendous, service was great and my wife was given extra care with a birthday card and special celebratory dessert. Definitely a momentous experience to treasure for a long time to come.
