Description: Zucchini is blushing from all the attention... Voted in the "Top 20 Culinary Destinations" in the Garden Route for three years running as voted by the Chaines des Rotisseurs. Also voted best "Family Restaurant" in the Garden route for the last two years. If walls of this honest country restaurant could talk the conversation would include words of fresh, vibrant, from scratch, home grown organic and compliments to the chef. To us simplicity is the key. You can expect dishes filled with flavour, a taste experience for the natural foodie. Zucchini Restaurant is in the Timberlake Organic Village in Wilderness. We offer a selection of Vegetarian meals but also offer game dishes like the "Springbok Shank" or our "Trio of Carpaccio". A mix of local-made micro brews from the tap! 32 Different types of local beers to taste, not to be missed. Play park for the kids, and a host of activities to keep them busy while you relax on our couches and sip a glass of wine.

We are regular visitors to Timberlake, where Zucchini is located, but for some reason we’ve never visited - until today. And what a lovely visit it was!

Zucchini feels a little bit too upmarket for its surroundings, which has a distinct tie-die feel about it - you know, the communal hippy type of thing.

With that said, Zucchini’s decor is also somewhat interesting, with horse saddles making up the bar stools; and cutlery in bare frames on the walls. But it all somehow works, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

The menu, clad in lovely leather, is comprehensive, with a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. The style is decidedly hearty, with items such as gammon, pork belly, pesto chicken, springbok and venison featuring heavily.

There’s also a nice selection of craft beers available, as well as a reasonable wine list.

The food we received was truly excellent, and far exceeded our expectations. As residents of Wilderness, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to good food, and we’ll certainly be adding Zucchini to our list of recommended spots.

Could anything be better? Well, maybe the service was a bit hap hazard, but other than that, we had no complaints - and we’ll certainly be back for more.

Loved the atmosphere, loved the setting, loved the music and the vibe. Our service wasn't great. Had magnificent broccoli and blue cheese soup. However, expected more from both the pork belly and the Hoekwil burger. Both dishes were probably done "exactly according to the book" and looked magnificent on the plate, but both seemed bland and lacking bold flavour.

Overall a great place. Good vegetarian selections, good wine list (if they have stock :)). Delicious food with generous portions and friendly service.

We went for lunch on a ver quiet day. In the beginning we were the only people in the restaurant. A very nice and quiet place with good craft beer and very good food. Can definitely recommend the place.

We were taken here buy some friends we were visiting as they enjoy going to this restaurant. The food here was great. I had the Spring Bok Shank which just fell off the bone and (considering I have never had any type of antelope meat before) thought it was just delicious. My wife had the Eye Fillet and could not rave enough about it. Great restaurant and we will be back the next time we are back in Wilderness.
