We visited Salinas on Sunday 8 October for lunch on our way to catch a flight back to Johannesburg after a wonderful weekend in Knysna. This was truly a great way to end off our visit. The food (and don't forget the wine) was really good. Will definitely go there again when we visit that area again in the future.

We came to Salinas by recommendations of our guest house and had a nice dinner.
The atmosphere is relaxed and the view amazing. We had a beef filet and some calamari. Both was very good.

In the past week I have visited Salinas twice or dinner and lunch- both times were good. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was nice and well presented, although my friend felt the meat used in the burgers was gristly (mine was very tasty).
The cheesecake with berry sauce was excellent.
My second visit was at lunch time, and as we were enroute to Cape Town we opted for tapas. Can definitely recommend the cucumber and cream cheese taco. The mini beef meat balls were also tasty.
We sat on the verandah with a view over the river mouth and beach. The clientele was mostly 25 and up.

Interesting place....but not quite sure it lived up to it. Went at night so no view unfortunately. Was quite windy, so we were not allowed to sit outside either. Had an inexperienced waiter, but good help from other staff. Food not memorable. Maybe it needs a re visit during the day...to redeem itself.

Beautiful restaurant right at the entrance to the beach, perfect for a stroll on the beach while working up an appetite. Good value for money, friendly service, options for kiddies and most of all the best view!!! especially for sundowners
