Having returned to Zimbali lodge after a few years we are so disappointed to see how things have deteriorated. On booking we were not informed of the fact that there is no longer a restaurant at the Lodge and you are required to drive to Fairmont Zimbali Resort to eat. This Lodge used to outshine the Fairmont Zimbali Resort a monstrous Sun City wanna be. Last time we will be visiting Zimbali in any form. Saying that the staff that are on hand have been fantastic and friendly. It’s a pity that the management of the Lodge or Fairmont have allowed this place to deteriorate to this level. I believe corporate politics is taking its toll

Terrible experience! We returned to Zimbali having stayed here a few years ago. The facility has lost its pulse and pleasure. Staff are indifferent. Resturant’s and facilities that used to be available have closed. The rooms are dated and quiet honestly, the frustration of dealing with the staff will destroy a romantic weekend.

If your looking for a wonderful place to spend time with family, in north coast Durban then this is your spot . The valley of the pools the beach and the kids play area is enough space for family to spend time together

We spent 2 nights and it was absolutely sublime. The boys loved the pool, the room service and the large room and comfortable bed. We had a superior room with a balcony and a stunning sea view. Very highly recommended!

We have stayed for 2 nights at Zimbali Lodge. Their friendliness, willingness to help or assist, driving us up and down in their golf carts, beautiful, like in really beautiful rooms especially the bathroom, great scenery, and fantastic restaurant with extremely friendly waiters. A wonderful place to be. The tranquility is amazing - This is the place to unwind, relax and eat and drink .....

Room Tip: All the rooms are perfect.
