Best in SA? If you visit the lowveld, spend a couple of nights at Oliver's. Ultra luxury, friendly, attentive staff, excellent food, beautiful surroundings .......and all at a reasonable price. We could not fault it on any count. An absolute gem.

We stayed here for one night and it was a enjoyable experience with very good service although with a very slight edge. Our room was spacious, comfortable with all necessary amenities and the lodge is set in superb grounds. As we were tired, we had a bar meal and a glass of pinotage. That was good and the other food appeared to be extremely well presented. Breakfast, as expected, more than filled our requirements. The very slight edge: well, you are in the Transvaal.

Service was excellent - was great sitting by the fire with pre-drinks prior to being shown your table. Menu was varies and the food was prepared and presented to perfection. Atmosphere was conducive to chatting as well.

We spent only two nights in this lovely place where the owner and staff make you feel at home.
Everyone is eager to help you in the organization of your activities.
Everything was well thought. The rooms are huge, nicely furnished and very clean. The dinners were delicious and big. When we went to an early safari, they prepared a nice breakfast to bring with us.
We experimented the wellness and spa which was wonderful.
A wonderful and too short stay. I warmly recommend the Olivers's Restaurant and Lodge on your way to the parks.

To finish our trip in South Africa, we had the chance to spend our last night at Oliver's. This was a wonderful experience! Rooms are great, the food is excellent and moreover, all the staff is exceptional and very friendly. We would recommend blindly to anyone a stay at Oliver's. Big THANK YOU to Tanja on her help to find my wife a last-minute appointment at a hair salon. Hope to come back.
