Fine dining. Vegetarian starter options are great. Kulchas, Naans with South Indian curry options (such as Alleppy Prawn curry) for mains, topped with amazing desserts (sorbet, kulfi & gulab jamuns with ice cream options). Augmented by great service. A nice family evening... :)

The service was below average.
I literally took 15 min before we had to ask if we had a waiter?
The food was mediocre- arrived luke warm.
I usually don't write reviews but wanted warn anyone that goes by their great reviews????
I am Indian and am a foodie- travel all over - including London , Chicago, Dallas etc
The food is really poor - the only dish that's close to good is the funecreek chicken.
BE WARNED- GO TO BUKHARA- it's nearby.

What an amazing experience. The food was sensational and not badly priced (although R65 for steamed rice is crazy). We particularly loved the lamb cubes (spicy and falling-apart-tender) and the dahl. The service was excellent - less snooty than I remembered it being a few years ago - and swift.

The menu is delicious. Not your traditional Indian food, but amazing flavors like never experience before. Conveniently located in the Taj Cape Town. On my first night, I wanted to book a reservation, the restaurant was full, but the staff was able to get me a seating. Wonderful food and staff. Looking forward to eating here again.
