Def not what we were expecting. Rooms beautiful and halls very pretty but a bit too quiet for us. I like a grander lobby . Breakfast a big disappointment and the pool basically non existent. Liked the table bay hotel... much grander.
Both great locations and walking distance to one another. Can’t go wrong with either. But we did stay at both and we def prefer table bay!
Also no issue with water at all.

My wife and I have traveled all over the world and have never stayed in a better hotel.
The staff and the service were excellent in all respects. We were treated like family from the moment we arrived. By the time we checked out after four nights lodging we had actually become good friends of several members of the staff. The restaurants and bars were excellent, and the location on the V&A waterfront could not have been better. We hated to leave, but we'll be back!

Room Tip: 4th floor overlooking the yacht harbor

The Cape Grace Spa should be on everyone’s bucket list! my experience was far beyond what I could have ever imagined. A huge thank you to Maxine (I hope I got that right) for the excellent service! You are truly talented! Definitely will be coming again!

We visited this hotel for two nights following an 11 day tour of Southern Africa and preceding a cruise departing from Cape Town. After being picked up from the airport in the later afternoon, we were driven to the hotel which is ideally situated in the heart of Cape Town. Our LHW room was modern, clean, comfortable and quite large with French Doors overlooking the dock area. We had reserved a table at the hotel signature restaurant, Signal, (more later) and after settling in, took a short walk around the hotel area. Our welcome both at the airport and the hotel was friendly, efficient, courteous and helpful. We had arranged through the hotel to visit Table Mountain in the morning and Robben Island in the afternoon of our stay and were again driven to and picked up from the Table Mountain cable car departure by the hotel. The Robben Island ferry was only a short walk from the hotel and we had a very interesting cruise and view of Robben Island including the historic features related to Nelson Mandela.

Our group of 14 stayed here for 3 nights at the end of a multi-day safari tour, and how thankful we are to have enjoyed this wonderful hotel! From our arrival through departure the staff were uniformly amazing in providing the most gracious personal service we have ever experienced. We made numerous requests for special transportation, late check out, dinner reservations, assistance with rejuggling air reservations, personal messages delivered to multiple people, and other things, all dealt with efficiently and with a smile. Kayla at the concierge desk was so helpful in advising on a trip to the wine area in Franschoek, and her suggestions made for a perfect day. We loved the downstairs bar where our waiter remembered us from the previous day and seemed genuinely happy to serve us once again. The level of service was so incredible that I haven't even taken time to comment on the well appointed and comfortable rooms, but suffice it to say they are commensurate with the remarks above. And the location is perfect for access to many excellent restaurants for dinner.
