We had selected room 6 which had good views over the bay, because we hoped to see some whales. We arrived and checked in, dumped the luggage on the 2 luggage stands, looked out the window to see whales breaching 50m off shore. Amazing!! Room 6 is facing the sea and has a good balcony which gives excellent views over the bay. The balcony in Rooms 5 and 7 are smaller and don't have such a great view.
The room is a reasonable size with tea / coffee making facilities as well as a Nespresso coffee machine, I think the pods for this cost extra. The allocated safe is in a store at the bottom of the stairs which is a bit of a nuisance. The room has a small fridge. There is limited space to hang clothes on an open rail. The shower opens into the room so has limited privacy, although there is a frosted glass door. This is a very quirky room in a great hotel which has an unbeatable location.
Breakfast offered the usual selection of cold meats, cheeses, fruits and yogurts as well as freshly prepared hot dishes. The eggs Benedict with smoked salmon was excellent as was the croissant with ham and mushrooms.More
