Welcoming staff who couldn't do enough to make our visit a pleasant one made up for the shocking service received from a neighbouring farm. Delicious wine sipped while we ate a generous cheese platter and soaked up the magnificent views.

The wines were ok and the service bordering on two stars only, but all in all it cost too much for what you get and there are numerous other wine farms nearby which have both better wines and where tastings cost less. The view was possibly the only thing that gets close to four stars.

Superb wines - their Single Tree Chardonnay is excellent

Staff are excellent, don't forget to order the meat and cheese platter

Returned to this beautiful estate to re-acquaint ourselves with their previously impressive wines, and left, I'm afraid to say, very disappointed. Aside from the stunning view, the tasting experience has completely changed - all one is offered are entry level wines, with none of the big wines on display. There may be people out there who are willing to purchase a Chardonnay for R450 a bottle untasted, but I don't imagine they come from this neck of the woods. It took 20 minutes before the first wine was brought to us, and 90 minutes to taste the 5 wines largely because the staff were making cappuccino's for other customers, an innovation which is not, in my view, a market advantage.
