Dreary oregon pine lookalike furnishings all over with artwork that are rather disturbing. The noise from the passages are disturbing especialy with tourbusses of very load chinese tourists that off load here. The food was good and tasty though the menu is very limiting. My corporate booking was lost on checkin. Had to wait while a new booking was made me feel unwelcome on arrival. The wifi stopped working.

I stayed for a week. It's the sort of hotel that disgorges tourist busses for overnight stays. Tourists should find a better managed hotel. I moved the couch, and found a bunch of dead insects. There was noise from the corridor, from the floor above, and from the restaurant that kept me awake late and woke me very early. There are the bare minimum of tv channels. Wifi does not reach the rooms. There's more, but eventually I will just sound petty. I had pre-paid, and couldn't move. Don't stay at the Stellenbosch Lodge unless you have no alternative, or you believe management has got its act together.

Not the best or most scenic location in Stellenbosch. Pretentious hotel façade externally in a busy, corporate setting gives way internally to dated décor (90s? 80s?) and stale smells. Relatively noisy, cheerless and cloistered rooms. Artsy? Awful bar and lounge. Bizarre. Definitely a monologue of an art collection, though the artist has some renown, and quite creepy at that if viewed at midnight. Somehow a bit of a sad hotel.

Room Tip: Perhaps upstairs offers a view of sorts.

Lovely hotel with very artistic decor. Comfortable room and bathroom. Good wifi. Decent breakfast. Really nothing to complain about. Located near a supermarket. Walking distance from a few restaurants.
