We stumbled across this museum and were so fascinated by the history as explained to us by the friendly curator, we contributed to their coffers with an amount far more than they considered necessary.
A pleasant couple of hours spent finding out about the town's past history.

Ignore the opening times on the website!!!!! Arrived today in Moncarapacho and the whole place was pretty much deserted; very disappointed as purposely planned on going to the museum and the chapels/churches as I am named after one of the venerated saints! The museum is open TUESDAY - FRIDAY 10:00 - 13:00, 14:00 - 16:00 and closed New Year's Day, Christmas Day and Bank Holidays. There was a few bits and pieces (stonework wise) outside of the museum which was quite impressive. Promises so much...... but yet to be seen.

This little museum tucked in the middle of Moncarapacho is a must see. The curator knows every little detail about the displays and is very patient in responding to any questions. Take time to visit the Church next to the museum which falls under the responsibility of the museum, it is so lovely.

A lovely lady walked round with us pointing things out, the museum is not open all the time and you need to look at the times on door. The museum has three different sections and we finished in a little church.
