This inn is run by Ana and Joe, a very friendly and helpful couple. The inn has 4 nicely furnished rooms in different sizes. It has also a little swimming pool. The calm one would experience there is very soothing accompanied with the sound of the ocean waves crashing at cliffs coming from a distance. At a clear day one would have a beautiful view of the Berlengas islands (natural reserve for birds). Also with clear skies one would be able to see many stars in the night. One could walk down (the coastal cliffs) to a close by beach maybe in 20-25 minutes. The breakfast is simple and nice like bread, croissants, yogurt, fresh fruits, cereals and fried eggs on demand. 2 negative points are the mattresses that were not in a good condition, and also the place does not have many restaurants close by. In fact they are only restaurant in walking distance. One would need definitely a car to get there and also to visit the are around. Beware also that the place is very windy, in order to take some wind protective clothing, otherwise you would suffer. End of September is in fact already beyond the end of season with warm weather

It's a small inn with just a handful of bedrooms. It's located on a cliff with a great ocean view. The staff, a couple - Ana and Jose, are very friendly and willing to assist you in anything you might need.

We stayed in the Studio. A 50m2 room on the first floor and with a breathtaking view. A bit pricey but the view made up for the money spent.

It's perfect for a weekend getaway wether you like the country or the beach. Great fish restaurants in the nearby villages.

Worth a visit!!

This is a 5* guest house/inn in an off the beaten track location, in that you are unlikely to come upon by chance and being that it is not on the tourist route you will not be surrounded by hotels, restaurants and noise. The property is new and the rooms are as described elsewhere, ultra-modern, clean, very comfortable indeed, good bathroom products supplied and a good breakfast with the option of eggs cooked as you like them. It’s an easy drive to many of the “Silver Coast” attractions but the town of Lourinha and the village in which the inn is situated do not really cater for tourists. Finding a decent restaurant close by and in Lourinha was a bit of a chore that generally went unrewarded. Good central location for the Silver Coast provided you are willing to drive out.

Room Tip: King suite

Come here if you:
--like to hear the ocean crashing as you fall asleep
--want to have the most comfortable bed in Portugal, huge and pillowy soft, with crisp linens
--are looking for a TRULY secluded spot, where you'll hear roosters and dogs instead of thumping disco noise
--want a place to completely decompress
--like a delicious, home-cooked breakfast
--don't need a lot of restaurants to choose from for dinner
--enjoy good conversation with immensely kind, thoughtful and interesting hosts who are native Portuguese but who have lived on both sides of the pond

Ana and Jose will stand out in our travel annals as perhaps the most warm and welcoming hosts we have ever stayed with; we only wish that we could have lingered longer to get to know them better! Their guest house is so well thought out, with numerous little thoughtful touches, from a lovely array of snacks to complimentary toiletries.

We had the fantastically spacious king bedroom with the killer view, fronted by a wall of ocean-facing glass doors, with reflective film on the outside for privacy. And happily, it was fully screened, which meant lots of fresh air without the dive-bombing mosquitoes--a rarity in our European travels. (Ana said they had to import the screens from N. America!) After a week of lots of moving around, we were instantly drawn to the double-wide room chaise overlooking the bluff, ready to curl up and decompress.

It was a 10-minute walk to a secluded beach. The late-September surf was pretty rough, not safely swimmable (not sure what it's like in the high season), but it was great for walking and feeling far from the madding crowds. There's a little snack bar/cafe nearby to hang with locals and take in the view.

Next time we will come back and stay longer.
