“Great, authentic Buenos Aires Expierence”

We really enjoyed our stay at Jasmina Suite. Rachel welcomed us and gave us a lot of good, helpful information. We met our two girls, who are travelling since about 6 months and are staying in a studenthome. Rachel provided us with extra linen, so they could sleep there if needed. We had plenty of space and enjoyed the little kitchen with all the necessary stuff you need. Rachel brought all the things for a nice breakfast. The appartement is very well located and clean.

Thanks Rachel and all the best with until maybe next time :-D

Room Tip: The building is very old and authentique, dont expect spacious, modern rooms. But everything is clea...

Host was very helpful. We wanted to take tango lessons on our last day in Argentina, checked into the guest house in the afternoon, and Rechal helped us to arrange something for the evening.

Place was very clean, comfortable, and conviniently located.
Fridge stocked with breakfast food, including fruits and yogurts. Fully equipt kitchen if you like to cook.

We had a wonderful time our last day and night in Argentina, partly thanks to our wonderful host.

We stayed four nights at Rachel's in the lavendar room. So comfortable, clean, and quiet. If you don't rent the flat you'll be sharing with the person who's rented the other room, but the apartment is accomodating. Nice to have access to a kitchen, and Rachel made sure there was plenty of food for us while we were there (yogurt, cereal, fruit). She's a lovely woman and was terrific about meeting us, letting us in, showing us around, and being warm and receptive. If we return to Buenos Aires we'll definitely stay here again. The location isn't as sexy as other parts of the city, but it's easy to walk to those parts, and you're in a funky district. Bathroom is dark and a little funky, but plenty of hot water.

We stayed at Casa Jasmin for four nights over new year. The apartment consists of a tiny kitchen, a bathroom, a living room, and three bedrooms (two doubles and a single). It is on the sixth/top floor of an apartment building in a nice part of town, just round the corner from where the owner Rachel lives. She stocks the fridge with the makings of a good breakfast - milk, juice, eggs - plus cereals, bread, and fruits. Plus real coffee! So not a B&B in the traditional sense, but one where you made your own - perfect!

We loved the clean, light and airy rooms (the two double bedrooms also had very welcome air-con), and made the most of the self-catering possibilities. Nearby shops had all the basics, although as usual in South America, fresh fruit and veg was a bit scarce. The apartment is near bus stops and subte stations.

There is access to the roof terrace, but no shade, so it was unbearably hot for three out of the four of us... There is also a huge stock of books, that guests are welcome to swap for their own, and fast wifi, which we made much use of (as well as a laptop for guests to use). The shower was good and strong, although I had a little trouble keeping the temperature pleasantly constant.

For USD$120 per night, this was a real bargain in central Buenos Aires, especially for the quality of the apartment and the freedom it afforded. Rachel is a real sweetie, and even helped us find accommodation for an extra night in BA later in our trip (sadly Casa Jasmin was booked!). Recommended without hesitation.

This truly is an amazing place to stay in Buenos Aires and all these reviews say it all. After reading this review check the website for availability for your dates and if available contact Rachel immediately and book! The location is great 15 minute walk to 9 de Julio, two minute to red line subway and five minute walk to green line subway. Many supermarkets, pharmacies and apparel shops in the area. Giant Abasto shopping mall is ten minute walk.
The casa is fully equipped with whatever you need, kitchen is setup or home cooked meals, rooms are impeccably clean and beds are comfortable. The casa makes you feel like you never left home!
Rachel is a wonderful host/landlord and goes above and beyond to making your stay the most enjoyable it can be. She provides invaluable recommendations and advice on what to do in BA and is always making sure your stay is as comfortable as possible!
This place is so great that we even went back to stay there during our second pass through Buenos Aires!

Best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed at and I have been to a few. The rooms are clean and cute. There was even an adorable little balcony in our room. The building is fabulously old and the elevator looked like it was from the turn of the century (I'm from Orange County so you can imagine how exciting this is to me.) The area, however, is not the best but it is very central and close to a metro line which connects you to all the other metro lines. The area is also ideal if you are down for an adventurous Buenos Aires experience (as we were) and want a glimpse of what real life is for many Argentinians. If that's what you're looking for, it doesn't get much better.

But, I haven't gotten to the best part...the FOOD. Rachel is gracious enough to know that not everyone eats at the same time nor the same types of food so she instead leaves a refrigerator provided with breakfast essentials for all tastes. There is also a kitchen where you can cook, which we did on occasion.

And lastly, the mark of a really great hostess is how she treats her guests. She was exceedingly kind the entire time and provided us with all the brochures and maps one could want. She even sends you a detailed email with what she thinks are the best tourist sights in town. All in all, an awesome experience in an amazing city.

Thanks Rachel!

Deborah
