Excellent Spanish food. I loved the "chipirones en su tinta". Ambience is great and very good service.

We popped in for lunch after a long walk around Buenos Aires. We'd used the Trip Advisor 'near me now' feature, and Restaurante Palacio Espanol was the closest place which seemed to have character and a decent rating. So glad we picked it. It's a beautiful restaurant with older, professional waiters who really know how to make a guest feel special. The food was wonderful and the wine delicious. We shared a squid starter and both had lovely salads to follow. The portions are large and the food is beautifully presented. Great experience. Recommended.

Something went wrong over the last year or so in this restaurante. To me it has all the potential to go back to its days of glory: wonderful achitecture, excellent service, very good distribution of tables that allow for quiet conversaions without being overheard by next table. However, when talking about the main object of going there: meals, it has gode down three steps of the ladder without changing the price structure. I used to go often knowing that my credit card would reflect a hike that month, but I knew that I would try the best Spanish food in town. This is no longer true. Don't get me wrong, the quality is still good and for new visitors, still acceptable, but the "best Spanish food in town" description no longer applies and the price level is still as if it was. Guys at the Palacio: you are still in time for a thorough analysis of why in the past reservations for dinner were a must and now, tables are available at whatever time one chooses to go. It's in your hands.

Just ordinary restaurant, not exceptional food.
Service was right but no very pleasant.
The "old school" dining room ornamentation is too much exploited to ave a great time in.
Very expensive wine list... :(

This place had a marvelous atmosphere and excellent service. It is quite elegant and has a good menu. However, the food was less than excellent, and not quite up to the price level. But all things considered, it was a good choice for dinner.
