We had not been to this hotel in 34 years. (We stayed here in 1986.). We went here with some fiends who are traveling with us to have a drink and reminisce about our time in Buenos Aires in 1986.
The exterior of the hotel is exactly as we remember it.
Even though the hotel is 34 years older, it was such fun to revisit. Our friends enjoyed it, too. We sat in the large bar area to have drinks. It had that nostalgic feel that my husband and our friends said, “just feels like you need to have a cocktail”. Being that it was a bit warm inside (no AC), they each ordered a gin and tonic and I ordered a glass of dry Chardonnay, leaving it in our server’s hands to pick a good wine.
He picked a lovely, dry Argentine Chardonnay and it was a very generous pour.
We probably spent one and a half hours here and enjoyed every minute. Just a relaxing good time.
