This an old hotel that is probably in need of a refit particularly to the rooftop dining area but then again so is most of Buenos Aires. The rooms were huge and that made it all that more comfortable with a couch/TV area coffee table, desk and a small kitchenette and fridge. A small trap is that when you take the key out of the power dock the fridge also loses power making it difficult to keep your drinks cold. There is plenty of cupboard space and a small balcony. Our balcony was also home to the aircon unit which was great for drying clothes but not so good for a quiet rest area.
The location is brilliant with a short walk to the Sunday Market (which was great) and easy access to the Presidential palace, the square, nearby shopping districts and the waterfront area which also was a great place to have a riverside dinner and a drink.
Good place to stay but like most of BA it’s a bit overpriced.
Food is available from the very nice restaraunt downstairs.
Would I stay there again? There are other hotels in the immediate vicinity but if it came to price – Yes I would.More
