The A/C has not worked in properly since we checked in and BA is hot and muggy - it's so uncomfortable in our room. The bathroom is tiny and there is no fitted sheet on the bed. Have much more to say.

Duomi plaza us an inexpensive, centrally located hotel with clean and spacious rooms. The staff is friendly, though they all seem to prefer not speaking english. The down side is that, due to poor insulation, like pretty much everywhere in argentina, it can get very noisy, especially in the rooms facing the street. We would stay here again for a low-key, comfortable visit

I did not want to wait all night at the airport for my 4:48 AM flight. This hotel had a very low price and it is nearby Avenida Corrientes, and next to Basilica Nuestra Senora de la Piedad. I was able to get a great dinner, walk around and do some shopping before resting a few hours for the flight. Great hotel for what I needed. Fairly large room. The only weakness that I detected with the wi-fi; which was weak and became disconnected frequently.

The hotel was average and reasonable priced. The room is big and comfortable, but the hotel is worn but clean. It is great located close to various attraction and subway. The staff is nice and friendly. The wi-fi was not consisted it needs to be upgrade.

Room Tip: The TV sap button can convert the Spanish language to English on certain channels and shows.

We were booked at the Duomi Plaza by our travel agency as part of a vacation package. We didn't really know much about the hotel and the information on the Internet was all over the place. This was our experience:

Location: It was three blocks away from the 9 de Julio Avenue, which is the main avenue in Buenos Aires. The street it is located in, however, was everything BUT welcoming. It was dirty, graffitied and poorly lit.

Upon Arrival: The staff was polite and helpful. The lobby area was clean albeit dated and it hasn't aged very well. The elevators are small, and do sudden jolts that may scare little ones.

Breakfast: This hotel usually includes breakfast. The restaurant is reminiscent of school cafeterias; it is a continental breakfast with a variety of cold cuts and cheeses. Two toasters were there for the guests convenience, however, neither one of them was working. Drinks are very limited. We only went there once.

Rooms: The rooms are HUGE, but extremely dated. It is very clean, though. The water pressure is faulty but there is plenty of hot water. You can tell this was once a grand hotel, but the holes in the carpets, dingy windows and curtains and peeling wallpaper was a definite turn off. If you happen to be assigned a room in the 7th floor under the restaurant ASK TO BE REASSIGNED. The restaurant does NOT have a carpet and it is usually open from 6am to midnight which means NO SLEEP FOR YOU. Scraping chairs, stomping feet and the screeching of tables being moved will prevent you from getting any rest.

I definitely DO NOT recommend this hotel unless you are in a very limited budget. I wasn't so I was very displeased at the travel agency for this booking. The previous hotel in Colombia (Movich Chico 97) was excellent so this was a very unpleasant surprise.
