If you play golf, this is the hotel to be in Tandil. If you do not, but like spa, indoor pool, great views, good service and excellent food, this is also the place to stay in Tandil. Breakfast is at the same level of any european 5 star hotel. You absolutely need a car because the hotel does not offer a shuttle service to the village (aprox. 4 Km away from the center). The last 200 meters of the road could be in better condition! It is not possible to regulate the heating: it is either on or off.

Room Tip: Choose a room with view to the golf camp, it is really worth the money! Rooms on the first floor are more quiet.

Dear Norma D.
Thanks for taking the time to write about your experience in amaike Hotel Golf & Spa.
For all of us at the hotel we is very important to read the comments of our guests and we learn from them to maintain the successes and improve the errors suciten during the stay. Thanks for mentioning the breathtaking view of the hotel. As well as breakfast service. As for the temperature we apologize, but being a central heating occurs to us that guests not always have similar desires for temperature.
As for the road, we try to keep it in the best possible way but actually is a municipal street, which can not always pass the town better. Hopefully improve on your next visit by the hotel.
We take this opportunity to greet very carefully.

The hotel is fantastic, nice rooms, nice view from the rooms that faced the golf course. I haven't seen a hotel with such quality of construction in Argentina (I've been in other great hotels as well). It's a little bit expensive but not outrageous for a 4 star hotel. The spa has a great view and all the employees were very kind. I'll definitely recommend staying there. Word of caution, the hotel is not linked with the golf course but they can arrange tee times reservation and golf carts, follow the mountain and you'll know where your ball is going to end up in the green.

Room Tip: choose the rooms facing the golf course

I'll divide my review in 4 main points,

Room: was fresh and clean with a very nice view (attached picture) but no balcony for those who maybe like to take some fresh air while enjoying the view.

Service: we drove late at night and the person in the reception was very kind to guide us over the phone cause we couldn't find the hotel. When we did the check out they gave us some cookies and water for the ride. Thumbs up for that nice gesture.

Breakfast: not fresh nor appetizing... Bread seemed as if it was done a few days before since it was hard and dry. Also, ladies serving it were not that inviting. We didn't had breakfast the next two mornings.

Spa: we knew that we wanted to get pampered but when we visited the spa nobody was there to give us any information about it so we went to another spa in town.

In conclusion, we liked the place but it has no magic that would make us go back.

Room Tip: Sierra view was beautiful

We have traveled a lot - both in US, Europe and Asia and we have never experienced a more rude attitude from a Hotel Manager ever!

We booked a stay for 4 nights at Ameike, since we wanted to play golf and relax in the spa. At day 1 the reception called the Golf Club to make sure everything was alright, since my boyfriend is lefthanded and we had to rent golf equipment.

We were told that everything was alright so we walked down to the Golf Club (notice that the 2 places are not connected) which means this isn't a golf resort, it's just a remote hotel with a golf course a mile away. They advertise as a golf and spa resort, but they really are not.

When we got down to the Golf Club they didn't have any equipment for lefthanded people at all. We went straight back to the hotel and talked to the reception and said that we only wanted to stay
there 2 nights since we couldn't play golf. No problem at all until check-out!!!

At check-out the Hotel Manager interfered saying that he was the only one at the hotel, that could approve a change from 4 to 2 days, and now we had to pay for 3 night, even if we only stayed 2.

We rejected and asked to talk to the owner. He would'nt let us! He ended up threatening us with the Police. We paid cash for 2 days plus food and drinks and then we left. Since the Hotel Manager had sent our taxi away (yes that is unfortunately correct!!!) then we had to carry all out luggage down to the Golf Club and they were so friendly to help us with a taxi.

DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL THE MANAGER DOESNT KNOW THE WORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ONLY CARES ABOUT THE BOTTOM LINE

One thing that is amazing about the hotel is the view from the "Golf Rooms", but that's about it.

You will find better service (only one person could/would talk English at the hotel), the Spa needs a serious upgrade (it's worn from lack of maintenance like most everything else) and the food was not anything special. Mostly the hotel seems somewhat empty and abandoned and it seems like a place that will go out of business.

The money is much better spent on 5-star hotel e.g. Hilton Resort, Sheraton or Intercontinental.

beautifull place to be in... it´s in avalley surrounded by private houses and a espectacular golf course... a few miles from tandil. a big, prosperous and high quality city in the center of buenos aires province... the facilities are great... staff and management need to get a more international level of service... this is a five star hotel, but you don´t get a five star service, perhaps a four... it´s a pity... the place deserves it... but, i must say, they are getting better every time...
