I stayed there a few times, once with my couple and his sons and with my mother in some other ocassion. Best: LOCATION, friendly atmosphere, ambience, big kitchen, nice patio, WIFI, library, friendly service. Worst: building & patio maintenance, noisy shower plate (PVC), old TV sets, narrow walls, AA (some rooms do have it, others do not).

Room tip: If you have low tolerance to noisy traffic, ask for rear rooms.

Incredible ancient English House converted into an hotel.
Reasonably economic, in the best of Tigre, very near the river.
Tigre is probably the nicest place in BA.
And this hotel is probably the best, although I believe there aren't many in the city

Room tip: Room #8 is very nice indeed

Tigre Hostel - Threatening owner
Basically we were unable to use kitchen until 10.30pm because the owner was having a private party which we wernt told about or made to feel welcome to. Following morning we were given slice of toast which they advertise as a "good breakfast".
Following our note to the owner saying we were unhappy with this service the owner replied with a threatening email stating that if we reviewed his hostel online he would contact all south america hostels and tell them that we threatened not to pay - which is a blatant lie as we paid on check in!

Charming old house with hostel facilities and rooms. Clean, light and nice. We had our own terrace at the room. If you have the room next to the kitchen, the walls are thin, so it can be loud at night.
