I wish I had better things to say about the hotel given that i had a wonderful visit in Villa Gral. Belgrano, but this hotel needs help. At first when you arrive you realize that the pictures are misleading. My fiance and I drove past the hotel twice before finding it. But then you realize the great location, right by all the shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is old, but I still was hopeful as old hotels can have a charm about them, however, this one was a bit lacking. The room size was fine and even came with a little balcony, but the closet needed hangers and a door. The bed was soft but needed more pillows to even attempt to be able to watch the TV, which was located so close to the ceiling that it was almost funny. The bathroom was fine, clean and the water pressure in the shower was good. They provide you with a tiny bar of soap and just enough towels (which are really old and rough). We did not get towels after maid service, but quickly received them after visiting the front desk. There is no phone in the rooms so you have to go to the front desk for anything you need, so make sure it is before 10pm when someone is actually working there. The weather had turned cold during our stay, so another good thing i can say about the hotel is that the heat was working well. We were happy at night to return to our warm room. Upon checking out of the room, however, they shut the electricity off in our room. We were pretty angry given that we spent quite a bit of money on the room and they could not even give us 15 extra minutes to pack up our things. I still don't konw if that was intentional, but it shut off at exactly 10am, checkout time.

Breakfast is bad and they shouldn't even advertise that they offer it. It is just some bread, jam and liverwurst. The orange juice is not like anything i've seen before, it's gross and i stayed away. Don't rush to make it to breakfast in the morning, you'll just be disappointed.

Overall, this hotel charges WAY too much money for the quality and service they provide. The only benefit is the location, but the negative side is the noise from the motos and cars all night and morning. I am shocked that they can continue to charge over 400 pesos a night for this hotel when there are many options in the town. My fiance and I definitely want to return to Villa Gral. Belgrano, but will never stay in this hotel again.
