Here is a great way to spend a day in the mountains. This 4x4 trip takes you where no others can get to. You see spectacular views and an abundance of wild life. We saw a Condor up front and personal . The driver Roberto is a professional photographer and delivers great photos to you at the end of trip and along with a nice lunch and a meal at a restaurant. Roberto has a translater along also if you do not speak Spanish. Just a great adventure.Should give it a try........

My husband and I wanted to see wildlife in the Andes and we found Fototravesias. And it was a perfect choice! Roberto and his son Alessio(also an English translator) picked us up at our hotel in the morning in a nice Toyota (Land Rover?) which was our touring vehicle. We drove to Uspellatta(sp?) then off on to dirt roads into the mountains. The scenery and wildlife were amazing! We'd already been on a few sightseeing tours and hadn't seen anything like this. Roberto knew all the "hidden gem" spots! Breathtaking views and close up views of condors for example, abandoned mines, and colorful hills, left us ooohing and awwwing! But it was genuine as were Roberto and Alessio! They treated us to a nice picnic on a mountain top, then to lunch at a restaurant in Uspellatta at the end of our tour! But the coolest part was how "down to earth" fun these guys were! We laughed and simply had so much fun with them! They also shared more information about the area and its history than we'd learned over our previous 2 weeks in Argentina. And Roberto is a professional photographer as well. He gave us a Zip drive with specular shots he took. Much better than the ones we had taken ourselves.
Anyone interested in wildlife, mountain scenery, or Argentinian history must try this outing!!!!

Our family of four had a most superb day touring with Roberto. He is very knowledgeable of the area and provided us a nice, easy pace. There was excitement in our activities for sure, but we also had time to just admire the stunning beauty of the landscapes and enjoy our own quiet contemplation throughout the day. The pure silence of the areas we toured was a real gift ... wildlife we encountered were not afraid of us ... the treats and surprises of our journey were many but I won't spoil it for you by detailing all.
Without question we recommend Roberto and his tours! The quality you expect, the safety you need, the memorable experiences that will last a lifetime!
Thank you Roberto ... it was an excellent day when we were at a point in life where we really needed just that!

Spending the day in the mountains with Roberto and our translator Federico was an amazing experience. We started the day by being picked up at our apartment and made our way to Uspalatta from where we headed into the mountains.
After some exciting 4x4-ing we stopped for some home-made sandwiches by the gentlemen while we looked around taking photos.
The scenery was unbelievable and it felt as if we were "on top of the world".
Roberto is very knowledgeable and he answered all our questions with patience and his love for the mountains and the area came through.
If we were Longer in Mendoza we would have loved to do other tours with Roberto.
We can highly recommend this trip.

This was a personal tour from 9am-5pm going through a natural reserve. We saw animals including guanacos, condors and eagles. We also saw landmarks/towns such as Uspilleta, Villavicencio, Aconcagua, and Porterillos. This is the best way to see many places near Mendoza in a adventure-packed day. I would recommend as a great quality for the price as the day included lunch and pictures by the professional Roberto himself. Also if you speak English the translator Fede is the person for you!
