This hotel is set in the centre of Mendoza and is well located for restaurants( a great one round the corner) and bars. It is small and attractive with fair sized rooms and good bathrooms. It is on a busy street and can be a little noisy if you are located on the street. There is a small (cold!) pool area and even a pretty basic gym. The hotel is in good condition and the reception staff are extremely helpful and will assist in organising trips to any of the 800+ wineries around Mendoza
Breakfast is really good with lots of options

Room Tip: Try to get a room at rear of hotel

There’s no doubt the main selling point of this hotel is location, for which it cannot be faulted as it is so central. The breakfast in the hotel was also one of the better ones we had in Argentina so that’s another positive. The staff were pleasant and helpful as well albeit we didn’t ask them for much help or advice.

The problem for me with this hotel is that it is really quite dated and in need of some serious TLC. The room was small, not very clean and frankly a bit smelly. The bed was comfortable enough but the sheets were well past their best, much like the hotel in general I’d say.

So overall you would stay here for location and for a relatively low cost but not for a great room or a relaxing hotel experience. It’s probably best described as functional.

On short notice, I had to find a suitable (comfortable, clean, functioning, attractive, with good amenities) hotel, at a good-for-us price, and I am happy to report that ‘The Villaggio’ more than fit the bill and delivered its promises stated on hotel sites. Starting with it’s stellar location by the central park and an important restaurant street, the hotel offers free parking at a location a few steps from the front door. (We had unlimited in and out privileges for 7 days, without a problem.) The fron desk staff was multi-lingual, kind, efficient, and always helpful. The decor (lobby, bar, restaurant, outdoors) was modern in style, well maintained, and comfortable. Our room was spacious, including a bath/shower, sitting area, dressing area, etc. We had a front-facing room on the top floor, with blackout shades, if needed. Breakfast was also included, with good and plentiful choices, as well as custom coffees. The owners and staff are working hard to provide a good experience here, and I applaud them, and plan to return to stay in the future. Thanks, Villaggio!

If you are looking for a Hotel that is close to excellent restaurants, has helpful front desk staff, and has clean, well appointed rooms, then stay at the Villaggio! The Breakfast choice is more than adequate with a wide variety of pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, juices, breads, eggs, cheese and ham....you shouldnt go hungry! Frank at the front desk arranged a city tour for us and had suggestions for dinners close by. All the front desk staff were accommodating. We also used the pool, which was welcome after a long day of touring! Thank you Team Villaggio !!

Great location but the hotel was a bit tatty and run down and we should have spent a bit extra and stayed elsewhere. The staff very friendly and tried hard but were not very knowledgeable and sent us to a closed supermarket and did not reserve a hire car when they said they did. The rooms a bit noisy and breakfast very ordinary.

Thank You for Taking the time and write a Review! Your feedback is appreciated and taken Into consideration as it helps us Identify Opportunities for improvement.Your comments frankly come as a surprise to us, because:
1.The receptionist told you all shop are closed the first day on january in Mendoza it is holidays .
2.We are more than happy to arrange rent a car services to our guest , it is not services provided by the Hotel and the guest is made aware that this is an outsourced service and it is upon availability. It is hight season in mendoza so rent a car companies does not have much cars to rent so you have to make reservations in advanced was not a matter of our concierge.
3.Breakfast is buffet service including eggs , jam and cheese , yogurt , coffe , te , milk , orange juice , fruit salad , fresh fruit , sort of cereals , cakes , bread . We provide excellent value when compared to similar three stars hotels in Mendoza .
