The City of Mendoza is a beautiful city in Western Argentina at the foothills of the Andes. The city has beautiful parks and sites. It provides easy access to the Andes and Anacongua National Park. Its numerous wineries are an attraction in of themselves. If you go, I highly recommend the Hotel Bohemia. Located in a pretty tree-lined neighborhood within walking distance of numerous restaurants and cafes, this family owned hotel welcomes you with the utmost courtesy and friendliness. Tours can be arranged by the staff. The breakfast buffet is more than ample and Chief Chef' Emir's dinners are superb. The hotel is decorated with numerous antiques and objects of art contributing to its name: Bohemia. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and all have a private bathroom and shower. You will not go wrong here.

Room Tip: All rooms are fine. Traffic noise minimal.

Bohemia is nice - great location, friendly and attentive service - but in our opinion it's not a boutique hotel. We were in room 3 which wasn't the best of the lot, I don't think, judging by the great room (5) that our friends got, and from peeking into other rooms as they were cleaned. Rooms are on the small-ish side and the towels are very small and thin. What it does have is some great spaces which would be fantastic in summer - outdoor areas by the pool and upstairs that would be perfect for drinking a newly-purchased bottle of wine. But for us, the price didn't match the quality of the location.

Room Tip: Ask for any room but number 3

It's a charming place in an interesting building. There's lots of curated art, sculptures, and objects throughout. The building probably had been an upscale residence in the past and had a unique feel. The rooms were fine but had a strong smell of cleaning products which I didn't love. Free WiFi and good breakfast options. The bathroom could have used a shelf above the sink .. had to balance stuff on the rim of the sink. Great service from Claudia. The location is fantastic.

My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon in Argentina and we were in Bariloche when we made reservations with Hotel Bohemia -- and then the Calbuco volcano erupted and caused our flight to Mendoza to be cancelled. The volcano delayed our trip to Mendoza by two days. Because of internet issues in Bariloche, it was difficult to get in touch with the hotel to change our reservation and we weren't able to email them untii the very last minute. Despite the last minute nature of our circumstances, they were incredibly accomodating and worked with Booking.com to get our reservation changed, only charging us for the nights we stayed.

We got into the city at 5:30am after an 18 hour bus ride and our room was ready for us when we got in. The staff greeted us with a bottle of champagne, bon-bons, and a hand-written "Happy Honeymoon" note.

The hotel was beautiful and the room itself was lovely -- comfortable bed, large bathroom, lots of closet space. We loved the plants and the sitting area in the upstairs hallway and the beautiful flowers and grapevines outside near the pool.

The location was perfect too -- the hotel is on a quiet block in a safe, and charming neighborhood, walking distance to Plaza Independencia, San Martin park, and plenty of restaurants, shops, and museums.

The most impresive part of our stay was the service. Claudia and Walter, along with the entire staff, made us feel so welcome and at home. They were all incredibly friendly, put up with our out-of-practice Spanish, and went out of their way to help us with any number of requests - from calling us a taxi to the airport and giving us directions to the nearest ATM to digging through the back room for some packing tape and string so we could pack our case of wine for the airplane and ordering late-night delivery for us when we were too tired to go out after a long day of adventuring.

If you're looking for a cozy, charming, and hospitable place to stay in the heart of Mendoza, this is your place.

We loved Bohemia Hotel, the breakfast was excellent with a variety of options, more than you usually find in Argentina and the room was great, really comfortable beds. All of the employees were always helpful and kind, they were more than willing to answer all of our questions and book any tours we wanted. When they didn't have an answer they would call and find out for us, amazing service!

We had a two night stay while enjoying the wineries of Mendoza. We often try to stay in smaller boutique hotels with a personal touch and Bohemia fits that description perfectly. We arrived in Mendoza after a 13 hour bus ride and Walter greeted us cheerfully and let us check in early - a lovely start. The hotel is just 10 minutes walk from San Martin Parque and a similar distance from the centre. One of the streets taking you into town has many bars and restaurants, but we preferred the other (ave Emilio Civit) which was lined with many stunning houses and two lovely cafes (one literally round the corner). This is a small hotel therefore if you are looking for the luxury of a big brand establishment this might not be for you. It is quirky and the finish in our bathroom was a little rough around the edges, but we really enjoyed our stay!

When looking for Mendoza hotels, nothing seemed to excite us about the bigger city places.. We did a search for alternative locations, and couldn't have been more happy with our decision. A nice easy walk from all the restaurants and excitement, it was like coming home every day. We loved the friendly staff, the courtyard pool, and overall ambience. The buffet breakfast served in a cute courtyard dining room was perfect, they rotate your table every day. We opted for dinner there one night cooked by the chef, it was amazing, private, and relaxing - we would recommend this for one night. Small things that also made it great - the air conditioning worked well and was quiet enough to get a great night's sleep, and the shower water pressure was the best!
