We only had one night in Iguzau therefore we decided that staying in the park was our best use of time.

From the moment you step up to the front desk you realize why this hotel is where it is. There are spectular views of the falls from all over! We were very fortunate to have a falls view room which was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable.

The breakfast was fantastic. We had previously spent the prior two week travelling through Chile and Argentina and this was by far the best breakfast that was included with the room.

The park officially opens at 8:00 however the ranges took the baracade down at 7:45 am and we headed right in. This is where staying in the park really pays off. We were the only two people in the park for quite some time! We saw a number of monkeys, limers and other wildlife not visible when the crowds gather. Once the people/tours come in from the town, it gets very hectic. Some reviewers have mentioned the cost but I don't think you can put a price on the serenity of being alone in that beautiful spot. It is not that much more expensive than a comparable level hotel in town.

If you don't have much time and don't want to go back and forth with the masses, I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is the best place to stay for a view of the falls, bar none. Getting up early and walking 5 minutes down to the truly awesome falls is worth the poor food, and and depressingly small dated rooms. Only get a room with 'falls' view as otherwise you're overlooking the car park. It's a hideous eyesore in such a genuinely cared for and beautiful setting and they should level it and start again but it's always packed so you can see why they haven't bothered. Pool is good, spa ok. Internet only in reception and hopeless for business. You should stay your first night here and then go over to Brazil and stay at the beautiful hotel you can see through the trees, the Hotel Cataratas which has a great pool and is a much nicer place to relax.

For sheer convenience and accessibility to Iguazu Falls, the Sheraton has no rivals. The falls were literally at our doorstep and visible from the front rooms.

The location is excellent and much better than staying in the nearby city but be sure to get a "falls view" room as the "jungle view" is more of a "car park view" - we had a falls view room on the 3rd (top) floor and it was magnificent to look out at the falls - albeit some distance away - whilst the hotel tries hard and makes the best of what it has it is showing its age and is not a luxury stay. We'd read and then heard mixed reports about the food, especially the buffet, but we ordered a la carte in the restaurant one night and ate in the bar another and the food and service were both quite good and much more convenient after a long days walking than the cab ride to and from Puerto Iguazu. Enjoy.

Great location in the park with no other hotels in the park (Argentina side) and doesn't it show. The Sheraton can charge whatever they can get away with because there is no competition.

The room was very dated and in need of refurbishment. The breakfast was average and the dinner was poor (infact awful). The staff were sparse, difficult to locate and unhelpful. The hotel lacked anywhere pleasant to sit and observe the lovely view apart from the terrace area that opened at 4 pm. This area is very nice and I think a better option for a light dinner.

The hotel is apparently usually fully booked and it certainly felt that way with many large tour groups crowding the breakfast buffet.

This hotel is very overpriced, I would say a 3 star charging 5 star prices.

On the positive side, the pool was lovely and the spa area and treatments excellent.
