Dear Sirs,
First of all we would like to thank you once again for having choosen our Estancia de Charme House of Jasmines located only 5 mns away from Saltas' airport.
With its only 14 rooms and suites, its swimming pool, its large SPA and its finest restaurant, we hope to give to all our guests the best service they could find in Salta.
We look forward to have the pleasure to host you or your relatives again in the near future.

Beautiful private house style boutique hotel. Great interior design convey feeling of luxurious private estancia dedicated to comfort, relaxing and privacy. This is a place to enjoy nature and quiet while marveling at the estancia, land and lush mountains.

The rooms are simple and beautiful albeit the standard ground floor rooms are on the small side and a bit dark but it doesn't matter because you have access to all the beautiful living rooms or outside galleries where you can have your privacy and read your book or surf the web thanks to good quality wi-fi. Some of the suites are in two separate houses and are twice as big with sitting area, terrace and bigger bathroom as well as TVs (no tv in standard room). The spa is beautiful and worth a visit. Need to book in advance as there are limited hours of operation.

On the areas to improve, the hotel is way under staffed which creates needless frustrations. It is not rare to see guests walking back to the kitchen themselves to try to find help to get some tea or lunch served which frankly is unacceptable given there are few rooms and price per night... This should be resolved easily but clearly was an issue during our stay which was during the Christmas / New Year period. That being said the staff and management are extremely kind and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable.

Another disappointment was the restaurant which served sub-par food for a Relais Chateau. It wasn't bad but it was not great either. Even the new year's Parillada was not great. The wine by the glass was awful. I would rather pay more and get good wine. There is an extensive wine list and it is best to order a nice bottle of wine. While I was there they even kept the rest of unfinished wine bottle for next meal which was a very nice touch. Furthermore, breakfast is very good, don't forget to ask for eggs any style if you want.

Overall a great place to rest, relax, read a book in the middle of beautiful nature.

Other:
- very near airport 10 minute ride
- far from Pumamarca and Cafayate at least 2.30 drive
- not much to do in the area
- hotel could organize a bit of animation for guests like a wine tasting for example

Dear Sirs,
Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with our future guests.
Please be assure that all of them have been noticed and that we are already working on it - the wine tasting experience could be soon adopted...
We are also delighted to inform you that we can organise - upon reservation - pic-nic in the garden and cooking courses with real Empanada's lessons.
We hope that your trip to Argentina was up to your expectations.
Yours sincerely,
House of Jasmines' staff

We stayed for two nights at the House of Jasmines and were somewhat disappointed. Unfortunately the hotel is not far enough from the town to have the isolated feel of a proper Estancia, while far enough away from the city, so as to be quite inconvenient without a car. In fact the hotel is set off a dirt road between a truck park and a kindergarten, although quite set back along a driveway in large grounds, so isn't really affected by these. However it should be noted that most shops and tourist venues in Salta close between 12.30 and 5.00, so sightseeing and dinner in Salta requires two return taxi journeys, or a long wait in town.

Our room in the main building, while of reasonable size had quite small windows, so was rather dark and didn't take advantage of the views of the estancia. There was also a slight problem, as four rooms opened onto an internal common area. Unfortunately two of the rooms were occupied by a group, who understandably tended to talk in the common area, which sounded like someone on a megaphone in our room.

The common areas of the hotel are very nice. The terrace in front of the dining room being exceptionally pleasant for drinks before dinner. The swimming pool is also quite welcoming. Unfortunately the dinner menu was quite limited, so we strived to find somewhere local for a meal on our second night. We did succeed in a nearby village, but reasonable Spanish is essential.

My wife also attempted to use the Spa, only to find out it was about 600 metres away near the main gate. When she asked how she was to get there, a mountain bike was suggested. As she said, the only thought worse than biking to a massage along a dusty dirt road in a dressing gown to a massage, was the thought of biking back afterwards.

In conclusion, unfortunately in the hotel business location is paramount and there are some question marks over the position of this hotel

Actually reviewing the restaurant, where we stopped for lunch, and not the hotel... Our lunch was very good, with well prepared and tasty comfort food with a twist, in a nice setting and attentive service. Wine list not up up the level of the hotel and restaurant, though.
