Good breakfast in nice place, silent hostel with cosy athmosphere and beautyful cats. ;)

Nothing to amazing about this place, but nothing wrong, either. Puerto Madryn does not have so many options, and most are over the average budget compared with other cities in Argentina. So this was a good option for us, as it has a decent price and quality.

The thing that made the difference was the staff, we've interacted with more of them, and they were all helpful and they really wanted to help. We booked excursions with them, did some laundry and also found a nice restaurant where we could eat at 11 at night, when we arrived hungry from Peninsula Valdez.

If in the area, you should not miss Peinsula Valdez, which deserve more than a one day trip. If you have this time, than you would be better of with an accommodation in Puerto Piramides, on the peninsula. But these options are fewer and more expensive.

This hostel provided exactly what I was looking for. A clean, budget place with extremely friendly staff, excently located. There are different room alternatives according to your choice. Highly recommended

I stayed for a couple of days while I toured Puerto Madrin. The location, right in downtown made it an easy walk to almost anywhere. Posada del Catalejo was a very inviting place to stay. The owner who personally attended us was kind and helpful and the Bed and Breakfast was clean and well maintained.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights – 11 months in to our round the world travels and trying to keep costs down. It is a great little hostel. The room was comfortable and warm, with cable TV and cabinets which you can lock your things inside if you have a padlock with you. Really good for a hostel as most of the hotels we stayed in didn’t even have a safe so having large lockable cabinets was an excellent security feature. The only downside was that we had to share a bathroom with 2 other rooms but to be honest it worked out fine. The hostel is very secure as the front doors are locked at all times and only accessed by ringing the bell for the staff to let you in. The room rates were reasonable compared to other hostel prices we looked at and included a decent breakfast with more than just croissants and ham and cheese – they also had cereals and fresh milk and fresh croissants. There is a communal area for meeting people, with DVD and cable TV and an internet lounge. Also good Wi-Fi access from your own room if travelling with a laptop. The room was clean and the shared bathroom was very clean and in good working order, and cleaned every day. Pillows and bedding were clean and comfortable. The staff here are excellent and really go out of their way to help you. They have a washing machine on the premises but no drier but you can take your clothes to a local laundry and get it all done service wash and returned same day for a good price. There is a kitchen available to use at the hostel. As hostels go, this is a good place to stay and well located. They have shared dorms rooms, private double rooms and some rooms have private bathrooms if you book in advance.
