My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in December 2012, and we upgraded ourselves to a superior room. The location of the hosteria is convenient, in downtown Puerto Madryn, though it is not a very exciting part of the town (not sure if the town has an exciting part at all!). As you enter, the lobby area looked quite nice and homely. But the hallway that leads to the rooms looked cold and dreary. The rooms (even the superior one) were rather basic, though they were clean and neat. The wifi was only available at the lobby area and not in the rooms. Breakfast was extremely basic and rather unappetizing to be honest.
The (only) counter staff around in the evenings spoke only Spanish and we had such a hard time trying to get information from her as we are English speakers.
Overall not one I would recommend.More
