We spent three nights at this hotel and it was a good base to explore the surrounding area. The rooms are clean and the bed extremely comfortable. However, the room was quite hot and it was a little tricky to control the temperature so we just opened the window. The staff were very helpful in arranging restaurant reservations. There was safe and secure parking, at an additional cost. There was a lot of choice for breakfast. The hotel is in a good location on the sea front and walking distance to good bars and restaurants.

Room tip: Try and get a room over looking the sea front

After traveling 7000 km through the Argentine and Chilean Patagonia and heading to Buenos Aires through National Route 3, we arrived at Puerto Madryn and stayed at the Pirén Hotel.
The hotel is very well located, facing the sea and surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops.
Our room was on the 4th floor overlooking the sea and it was quite comfortable although it was difficult to regulate the air conditioning equipment.
The bed was very comfortable, and there was enough place to accommodate our luggage.
The bathroom is divided into two parts, one closed with toilet and bidet but without any window or extraction system. The sink and bathtub are part of the room and open ..
The breakfast is very complete, but it is convenient to go at the last minute since earlier there is no place to sit. The place is not enough for the amount of people staying at the hotel.
The hotel has some parking places that, if available, are additionally paid.
The Internet connection is very good.

We stayed just before Christmas when there were few people staying. Hotel is located right in the middle of the sea road and close to restaurants, the beach and pretty much anything you need. Beautiful but funky art throughout the hotel. Room overlooked the sea and was light and spacious. The air con had to be turned on by reception as first night didn’t realise it wasn’t working. Breakfast was ok .. lots of pastries .. and only eggs were scrambled. Hotel reception staff very helpful.
