My wife and I stayed 4 nights with a Visa secured reservation.
After arriving at 7PM by Andesmar Bus from Caleta Olivia, we were discharged at the Trelew Terminal and walked 200 meters northwest to this hotel. The receptionist, who spoke hotel English had us fill out a form, then presented our keycard and we took the elevator to the 3rd floor. Our clean #302 studio had a fully equipped kitchenette, table with 4 chairs, single couch/bed, comfortable queen with 2 nightstands, closet, wall TV(no English) and a fully outfitted bathroom with spacious shower. Several windows look down on Mathews street (quiet at night) and across to a large park.
A nice simple breakfast basket was brought up the night before, the room was cleaned in the early afternoon, and all receptionists were very helpful with maps, taxis, and locating ATMS. La Anónima Supermercado is 650 meters northwest and Rotiseria El Tio is at the west end of our block (full roasted chicken-170Ap).
We chose this excellent apartment hotel as a base for renting a car to see Punta Tombo penguins 120 km southwest, the Museo Paleontologico next door, and departing by bus to Puerto Madryn, a fine value hotel for us.

We stayed here as a family, mainly to shorten the drive to Punta Tombo, which I’m glad we did. It is a short walk to the Dinosaur Musuem which we enjoyed. There is not a lot of eating close by, but a corner shop has pizzas, empanadas etc. Everything here is closed on a Sunday and makes it tricky to eat or get supplies for the kids, so plan ahead.
There is a plaza across the road, but has a lot of rubbish. There is a good kids playground not far from here right beside the lake.
The hotel is pretty dated and we did have aircon issues during our stay. We stayed actually in 3 different rooms and they were all different. The breakfast is delivered the night before and includes ham sandwiches, muesli Bars, juice boxes.
The staff are all lovely here, very helpful and some speak English. Good place to stay with kids.

We stayed here for one night for the same reason many people do - we had just flown into Trelew and the next day were visiting Punta Tombo and so it didn't make sense to go all the way to Puerto Madryn.

The apartments were fairly basic but a really good size. Bedroom in one room, bathroom in another and then kitchen/living room separate.

Would recommend to anyone who needs somewhere easy to stay with the same travel plan

2 min walk from bus terminal, 4 block walk to large grocery store with laundry (by kg) & dry cleaning services (at the La Anonima by the entrance). Handy clothes line in the shower if you want to hand wash anything. Breakfast was delivered each night before: ham & cheese sandwich, mini muffins, juice box, packaged dried toast, cream cheese, jam, etc spreads, coffee & tea sachets, dried milk packages. We missed real coffee and fruit.
As an aside: We took a rental car to Punta Tombo and enjoyed the penguins on our own schedule - highly recommend splurging as the extra time with the penguins was priceless. Reserve your car ahead - they were in short supply.

Staff were extremely helpful. We did not speak Spanish, and the staff made every effort to make us feel welcome.
The apartment was maintained very well, clean, and a well-equipped kitchen.
Breakfast items were limited in variety, but more than what you normally expect in an apartment.
Located right opposite a park, and quite close to the centre of Trelew.
Reservation staff were courteous and prompt in arranging for taxi from the airport as requested at reasonable rates.
