Stopped here in low season on a recommendation and liked it a lot. Got a nice apartment overlooking the lake and slept very well here. There's a nice WineBar/Restaurant too where we ate Pizza's and had excellent Patagonian wine.

We spent a week in summer with family in a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom bungalow sleeping 7 and we were not cramped. The bungalows are nice with a decent kitchen (no dishwasher) and a nice deck . They also have lots of stairs ! Despite some comments the breakfast (served 8.30 to 11.30 in summer) is good for Argentine standards, with scrambled eggs (a bit salty) plenty of fruit and fruit juices, croissants , brioches and different breads for toast, and several different cereal alternatives.
Staff is helpful ,although slow at the 2 restaurants . You can park close to your bungalow . There is a great sunny swimming pool , with amazing views , game room for kids and a library with lots of books if the weather gets bad.
It is very close to a beach on the lake, but you have to cross the main highway to get there.
It is not cheap, but having gone right after a recent devaluation of the peso , it was reasonable for the quality of the place.

Room tip: You will ahve to walk to the restaurants on the resort, or ask for the bungalows closer to them.

The location ist just nice even though it is not next to lake. Between the Hotel and the lake there is the ruta provincial 234. But it´s ok. From the outside it looks very nice however the inside of the bungalows ist just very deficient. We found hair that was not belonging to us everywhere and cleaningness in general was not up to standard. The bedlinen must be several decades old since it is totally worn out and pilling. The furniture is just the same as the bedlinen. The bungalows are very narrow and the bed is a mini queen size if at all. We were told breakfast ist until 12:00 but as we reached the Restaurant a very unfriendly staff told us it is just until 11:00 and that she has to leave now. After arguing with her we got what they call "breakfast". Some croissants, 4 mini breads and just dulce de leche and some spread cheese. A coffee and a mini glass of orange juice. This place is just not what it looks like in the internet and it is totally overprized for what it really is.

We stayed here for only 2 nights thankfully . The place is cramped and dull inside . If you have a wheat intolerance beware ! Breakfast consists of Coffee, orange juice plus croissants and 2 white and 2 brown rolls plus jams !
When I asked where the "buffet " was the girl looked at me shaking her head .
No cereal , fruit salad , yoghurt, eggs , and we went to town the next morning for a decent breakfast . Bearing in mind that if you go skiing you need a good start .. And here you won't get it !

Overall I would not recommend this place and will never return !

We spent one week skiing in Chapelco and stayed at Paihuen. The location is perfect since you are in the mountain but sufficiently near from San Martin to go to have dinner, shop, etc. and also very near from Chapelco.
The apartments are nice and have a very good temperature, which is great after skiing all day! The wine bar is absolutely stunning in its views, the food is all right.
There are videos for kids and entertainment in the afternoons although my girls did not find it very entertaining...
The restaurant and the spa were closed due to a problem with the heating. We were so lucky that it snowed in September and we were able to see Paihuen covered by snow, absolutely incredible!

Room tip: If you make a last minute reservation (a couple of weeks before) you may have the rooms with lake view. These are reserved for the people who have bought "shared time", but if they are not reserved you can get them!
