A very personalized boutique hotel run by the family who own the property. As a result they go out of their way to ensure that your stay is pleasant and no request is too much trouble. This is a breath of fresh air compared to some larger hotels one stays at.

A car is recommended to give one the freedom to travel around and visit the wonderful sites the area has to offer.

Looks like a gorgeous italian villa right by the lake shore. It’s really beautiful and very well decorated.
We had dinner one night and it’s just ok. The menu looked fancy and amazing, but the food wasn’t that tasty. Breakfast was good.
We didn’t try the pool or the spa, but they both looked very nice.

Pros
- Friendly service
- Gorgeous view
- Large room, very well decorated
- Spacious bathroom
- Good internet connection: relatively fast and reliable
- Large enough safe to store a laptop

Cons
- The beach access could be better maintained
- The hotel access is a little steep which could be difficult for some people
- A bit far from the city

Not exactly for the small purse, this is a wonderful choice for spoiling yourself: Your room has a beautiful view over the lake with the mountains as a backdrop and a very comfy bed, the location is quiet and peaceful yet close to town, the hotel has its own pool and sun deck (also with views onto the lake), and you get home-baked breakfast and friendly service.

Two things to note: The parking is at lake road level, while the hotel is further below, at the bottom of a very steep slope; you will be picked up and brought to the parking by the hotel, but that's a bit inconvenient for mobility-impaired visitors. I was also not overly impressed by the dinner at the hotel (it was ok but not that impressive; breakfast was nice, though), but maybe that was an exception, based on the positive feedback from other guests.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the hotel - location, views, room, food, the people and the service. For our purposes it was essential to have a car which was not only convenient for getting to the hotel but opened up many attractive options for walks in the hills and exploring Lago Traful for example

This hotel is on the lake and has dramatic views-- think majestic mountains, gorgeous lake. Beyond words. The rooms are charming and sophisticated. It is so romantic even though we had our daughter with us. The view from the rooms is perfect and because the rooms are large you can sit and enjoy. The pool area is also inviting and dramatic as well. The town is busy but the hotel is a quiet retreat. Do not eat at finnegans even if the hotel recommends it-- awful. Definitely a thumbs up!!

Room tip: I believe all rooms face the lake. We had two rooms that were unique and both had perfect views.
