The Sanctuary Resort is a place that takes care of all your needs. Beautiful gardens, amazing views, great food, comfortable and clean rooms, a staff that makes you feel at ease. Before you know it, you've forgotten all your worries. Indulge in the food at "Elements", get pampered at the spa, go for hikes or sit by the beautiful pool. They have something for everyone. You won't regret it.

So I decided to go to the Sanctuary at Camelback Mountain on somewhat of a whim. I wanted to escape the Northeast winter for some place warm and where I can get some good instructional tennis. Compared to other tennis resorts, the Sanctuary isn't quite as well known. But instead of going somewhere in Florida, hearing about Elements (their restaurant), and craving a desert-like environment; I decided to give it a try. I thought the tennis instruction was pretty good. After the pros there got a sense of my game, I felt that they gave good instructional advice and really tried to have me fully implement their advice. They have 9am clinics every morning which allowed for some one on one instruction in a group environment. The days I went (Friday and Saturday before Christmas) were a little thin. Friday had 2 additional players from the area and Saturday had 2 additional players from the resort. Some other resorts may have a larger community base (could've just been the days I had gone). But to be honest, the smaller the group the more individualized it gets. I also did 2 one hour private lessons which were very helpful. The pros there are very positive minded and friendly. So if you're looking to improve your tennis game you can either do something like this with clinics and 1 hour private lesson or a tennis camp such as Saddlebrook. Compared to a tennis camp this is definitely less intense and sort of tennis on your terms. At the same time I thought having the clinic and private lesson was enough to get a good amount of teaching and play within a day.

Thank you for choosing to take a tennis retreat with us and taking the time to provide us with feedback about your visit. We are delighted that you had such a wonderful experience. It is wonderful to hear that our tennis team really took the time to understand your game and offered insightful feedback and instruction. We are glad the smaller group allowed you a little more personalized interaction and instruction. Thank you again for choosing Sanctuary and we hope to see you again next time you are looking for a fun, but relaxing tennis getaway.

As my first taste of hospitality in the Scottsdale area, I was very impressed. From the moment you arrive, until you check out, you're well taken care of here at Sanctuary. The rooms are beautiful, the facilities are great and the spa is truly relaxing. Elements serves delicious food with a gorgeous view. You do get a bit of a work out getting up and down the hill to your room and to the facilities, but you also have the option of getting a lift in a golf cart. I chose to go for the leg workout getting up and down the hill. A wonderful resort and spa. Next time I will conquer Camelback Mountain.

Amazing views. Top notch service. Super spacious casitas with a sitting room and private deck. Beautiful pools. Great food. There's nothing else you could want or ask for in Scottsdale. Just a delight across the board. I can't wait until my next stay.
