“Great Theatrical Venue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2012

Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the Grady Gammage Auditorium is located in Tempe near ASU. The acoustics are great, the building is very pleasing, and the performances are usually of a grand scale.

“Fine theater”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 February 2012

Grady Gammage gave the city of Tempe a wonderful gift in this theater. The quality of shows is top billing and the beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright architecture is a feast to the eyes. Enjoy the show and the building.

“Great concert venue, up to a point.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 January 2012

I've now been to a classical concert, a contemporary musical and a 'rock' concert at this venue so I know it well enough. It is an impressive building and the facilities are more than adequate. My only comment would be that if, in the future, the only tickets available are in the upper balcony I may give it a miss. The stalls work best for sight and sound. The first level is good but the upper balcony is just too far away to enjoy the experience.

“Theater designed by Frank Lloyd Wright”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 January 2012

Long a part of Tempe History, and part of the main campus of Arizona State University - the theatre backstage areas were enlarged to be able to host touring Broadway Shows. The expansion was to bring in "Phantom of the Opera" which played for about 4 months. Phoenix is the 5th largest City in the USA, and we draw probably a dozen top Broadway Shows a year. The theater and accoustics are excellent.
