“Fabulous place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 January 2012

This is vastly better than the nearby but very industrial looking Dodge Theater (which I personally have boycotted). Please overlook the fact that the seats are a bit uncomfortable and relish in the highly decorative ambiance.

This theater, built in the early 1930's was refurbished several years ago and is a comfortable theater for concerts, plays and musicals of all kinds.

“Neat old classic Theater”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 January 2012

Orpheum in Phoenix is the last of the old time big classical theaters left in the Phoenix area. Want to see what the grand old houses really looked like take a visit.

“Restored Historical Theater”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 January 2012

When Phoenix expanded the downtown Government area, it had an old - and deserted - Theater. It wisely chose to restore it to it's original splendor. While the theater is small, several groups stage shows there, and it has a fine old Pipe Organ - also restored. With luck, you'll get to attend a concert with Local Organ Great Lynn Larsen - who played a major part in the restoration.

central location and fine spot to hear a show, concert or anything. Not real big so it will not host the most popular acts
