We have had good experiences in the past with the Sleep/Comfort Inn family. We did not have a good experience with this particular Sleep Inn Airport. On the good side, the location is convenient to the airport and the shuttle is good. On the downside, the free breakfast was very poor, except for the cold cereal. The coffee was bad, the juice was watered down. Some rooms have highway noise. The worst issue is one we can't prove. In all the hotels we've stayed at, we have only had bed bug bites once in another state. Unfortunately, when staying at the Sleep Inn Airport in Phoenix, we had that happen again. We can't prove it because we didn't have time to totally strip the bedding to locate them (the mattress covers appeared sewed on so we couldn't remove them to look). But the type of bites, small spots of blood on sheets and pillow cases, and similarity to previous experience was strong circumstantial evidence for us. We did not stay anywhere else on this trip so there was no other opportunity to get bitten except at the Sleep Inn Airport. Given that there have been previous complaints (that we missed when choosing this hotel), the management should be proactive to address this issue.

Room Tip: avoid rooms facing highway

Ok so we used a boat load of points to stay here on business.
The hotel just isn’t up to standards.
The room was filthy and had hardware missing on the shower door.
The window screens had holes and the window had smears.
These rooms are really too small to move around in.
The bathroom door had greasy dirty finger prints. Really disgusting.

As a result of a missed connection at the airport due to weather, we found this hotel from a recorded list (over the phone) that was provided by the airline. Included in the price of the room was shuttle service to the hotel and back to the airport.

Sleep Inn is about a 5 minute drive from Sky Harbor Airport. The room we had on the 2nd floor was clean and more than adequate. Toiletries were provided and they even provided toothbrushes upon request. The room had a comfortable bed, big screen tv, desk/chair/dresser, chair, microwave, and small refrigerator. As we were with friends who had a room beside us, we also made use of a table and chairs that was just around the corner from our room for eating (had delivery) and playing games. There is an elevator. For being by an airport, there wasn't any noticeable noise from planes or guests.

A small hot/cold breakfast buffet is provided with a waffle maker. Buffet was so-so, waffles were great!

Walked to a larger hotel chain down the street to get a couple of drinks at their bar as Sleep Inn didn't have any. Would stay here again if I knew I was going to have to spend a night on a layover based on the price, airport shuttle, breakfast, and convenience. Nothing special but covered all of the bases.

Ended up stuck in Phoenix overnight, and needed a place to crash for a few hours. I'm pretty sure the front desk woman was asleep in the back office, because I had to call (from the lobby) to get any service. Granted, it was after 1am, but still...

The room was on the first floor and could certainly use some improvements. However, the bed was comfortable, and the room seemed to have all the basic items. It did start to get noisy after 5am (slamming doors, etc).

I skipped breakfast the following morning, but the morning receptionist and the shuttle driver were both very friendly and helpful.

Mixed up my reservation to another 'airport ' hotel but it was across town. Last minute call got me here. Was sufficient, check in staff Michael was good at getting me signed in. Room clean and nice, bed very comfortable. I slept well, despite some airplane noise. Never heard it after 11pm. Bathroom could use update on shower. Check-out clerk at 5am looked like she just got up. Could use better manners.
Shuttle drivers were prompt and got me to the airport quickly. I left my car and the charge for that was high. But the shuttle driver who picked me up at the airport 3 days later (after a day long travel and delays) was extremely prompt!
